He has particular expertise in the management and preparation of large feasibility studies, including scoping, pre-feasibility and detailed feasibility studies for the mining industry in Australia, New Zealand and West Africa. As Study Manager, he has had responsibility for key activities such as resource definition drilling and resource modelling, water exploration, mine planning , minerals and design

engineering and environmental assessments.

He has been successful in the management and optimisation of complex processing operations, study management, new business development, integration of major plant expansion and cultural change to achieve clients' business objectives. Jose Torres - Lead Project Development Consultant Jose Torres – Lead Systems Engineer
Jose joined GRS whilst on assignment in Peru, and has proven to be an invaluable member of our organization acting as our regional representative in South America. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP), graduating in systems engineering with a postgraduate specialisation in formulation, evaluation and management of projects.
His passion and expertise lie in the area of information and knowledge management and he is responsible for developing the GRS in-house CORS

(Completions and Operational Readiness System); just one of the many IT business solutions Jose has developed over the past 15 years.

Jose has an extensive experience base across a diverse range of projects and environments.  In 2010 Jose completed an 18 month remote location assignment with Barrick in the Dominican Republic working as a Cost Engineer on the PVDC Project for the owner’s team.  Prior to this he worked as a Commissioning Lead on a remote assignment in the Peruvian Andes.  He has also undertaken assignments in traditional project controls roles such as cost engineering and planning.
